Overview
UNSKIP helps you set a daily movement goal, record activity, maintain streaks, and receive reminders. This policy explains the information handled when you use the UNSKIP mobile app and website. The data controller is Now You See Me Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17077302). You can reach us at [email protected].
Information we handle
- Account information: identifiers and basic profile details supplied through guest access, Apple, or Google sign-in, such as a display name and, for signed-in accounts, an email address.
- Activity information: activity type, time, duration, distance, energy, daily goals, streaks, sick or injured day status, and your answers to the onboarding questions.
- Settings: your daily goal, timezone, locale, and reminder preferences.
- Device and technical information: device identifiers, operating system, app version, push token, diagnostics, and approximate location derived from IP address.
- Purchase information: product, subscription status, and store transaction evidence needed to verify purchases. Payment card details are handled by Apple or Google, not UNSKIP.
Health and fitness integrations
With your permission, the app reads relevant workout and activity records from Apple Health (HealthKit) on iOS or Health Connect on Android. Access is read-only and limited to what is needed to track your daily movement. You control access in your device settings and can revoke it at any time. Health data is never used for advertising and is never sold.
How we use information
We use information to provide and sync the app, calculate goals and streaks, send requested reminders, authenticate accounts, verify subscriptions, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, understand product performance, and meet legal obligations. We do not show third-party ads, we do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your health data for marketing.
Sharing and service providers
We share only what is needed with providers that support running the service:
- App stores and payments: Apple and Google handle purchases and billing.
- Sign-in: Apple and Google, if you sign in with them.
- Hosting and delivery: Cloudflare.
- Analytics, push notifications, and app configuration: Google Firebase.
- Error diagnostics: Sentry.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.
Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to meet legal, security, and accounting requirements. You can delete your account in the app under Settings — see Delete your account. Deletion removes or de-identifies account-linked information unless retention is legally required.
Your choices and rights
You can change Health access, notification permissions, and analytics controls through the app or device settings. Depending on where you live, including under the UK and EU GDPR, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection by emailing [email protected], and you may complain to your local data-protection authority.
International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including outside the UK and EEA. Where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Children
UNSKIP is not directed to children under 16, or the higher minimum age required in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable age.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product or law changes. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when a change materially affects your rights.
